The Portal for a Limited Time: You missed it!
No one other than myself sees my work before the appointed deadline, and if you miss you . . . ask someone who saw it.
During its brief posturing in this realm I witnessed the response atĀ Open Studios: some people went in, others were hesitant, as one by one they disappeared into the inky blackness, then ‘returned’ to tell the tale, some saw nothing by cobblestones, others thought they saw a ghost, one person contradicted that with having seen a ‘white rabbit’, while a small child said there was a playmate inside and she waited nearly 40 minutes to take another turn, some described what they saw but others could not put it into words. Everyone saw something different but more importantly the interpretations of even the similar parts were so individual — some found it unnerving/scary, others were completely relaxed by the sensory cues of the physical space, and still others, while being quick to vocalize that they ‘knew it was just their imagination,’ described it as spiritual — it was an ideal experience for me. I could have filmedĀ it, but in the end, while they were having their own experience inside, I was having mine from a distance, all left now to fading memory just like that comet I caught for an instant in my binoculars.
Here are a few questionable glimpses, the only ‘evidence’.
