Prototyping and Pre-fabricating the Portal
- Created a miniature metal version of the top armature based on my drawings
- Mapped drawings out as vertices and edges in order to fabricate copper edges and welded vertices or bends where needed
- Reconstructed geodesic dome in plastic in order to see 3d space created by faces between edges — again to scale miniature
- Labeled edges and vertices in order to prepare them at full-scale and reassemble
