Developing the Portal for the Experience
The Portal is a physical subset of space meant to isolate the individual from the macrocosm as much as possible. It serves a dual purpose: first, separation and isolation, but also as a housing for the Experience. The Portal is a modular, transportable, collapsable space which can be fully self-contained or require a single connection to provide electricity. The Portal focuses the energies of the Experience and acts as an isolating housing for the state of Experience. Only once a measurement takes place on these states, decoherence is permitted and an act on the quantum may be realized in the macro world. As such, the Portal works to avoid mixing of states, mixing of the Experience with the inevitable environment.
Schroedinger’s black box, 5 mm lead walls, gamma radiation, cloud machine, probabilistic wave-function collapse, stochastic neural networks in AI, aleatoric minor events can lead to bigger deterministic events — butterfly effect. David Bohm suggested “determinism can emerge from underlying indeterminism (via the law of large numbers), and that indeterminism can emerge from determinism (for instance, from classical chaos), the universe could be conceived of as having alternating layers of causality and chaos.”
Cosmic Rays: A small contribution is also attributed to universal quantum decoherence and quantum noise.
To alleviate this problem, the Intel Corporation has proposed a cosmic ray detector that could be integrated into future high-density microprocessors, allowing the processor to repeat the last command following a cosmic-ray event.
